We are officially 19 days away! Your child’s safety is our top priority. To help us prepare, please review these important health highlights:
Medications & Forms
Authorization Required: If your camper needs any medication (including prescription, over-the-counter or vitamins), a Medication Administration Authorization (MDH-4758-A) must be signed by a doctor.
Asthma: If your child uses an inhaler, we need an Asthma Action Plan and Medication Administration Authorization (MDH-4758-C) form signed by a doctor on file.
Emergency Meds: EpiPens and inhalers are carried by staff in high-visibility neon fanny packs so they are always within reach.
Portal: All forms can be found and uploaded in your Camper Portal.
Health & Wellness
Allergy-Aware: We are not nut-free, but we are allergy-aware. Please ensure all allergies are listed in your portal.
Illness: If your camper is sick, please keep them home. If they become ill at camp for longer than 30 minutes, we will call you for pick-up.
Expert Care: Janelle Mack, RN, is our Nurse on Call and the School Nurse at Mater Amoris Montessori School. She reviews all health files before camp begins.
Note: Camp Director can administer medications.
Injuries: All our staff is CPR/First Aid certified. We will notify you via phone or at pick-up if your child visits had any first aid care provided.
Daily Prep
Sunscreen & Bug Spray: Please apply both before drop-off. Send sprays only for reapplying (staff cannot apply lotions).
Hydration: Send a refillable water bottle every day! We have water stations ready for refills.
